Cloud selection based on exclusion

There are several ways and options to do this from the main window:

Select a specific file or folder

  • Open IDrive.
  • Go to fuse Tab.
  • Choose To change.
  • Right-click the file or folder you want.
  • Choose Exclude this item from backup.

Use full pathnames

  • Open IDrive.
  • Go to settings Screen.
  • Choose Files/folders with full pathnames.
  • Choose a file.
  • Choose Save settings.

How to use selective exclusion

If you don’t want to exclude an entire folder, you can use another process called selective exclusion. This feature allows you to select the folders you want to sync instead of excluding the unwanted ones.

This feature is beneficial for those who want to keep most of their information locally and only back up important files.
